Frequently Asked Questions
01
Is your stained glass handmade?
Yes. Every piece is designed and handcrafted by Eryn in her
Raleigh, North Carolina studio.
02
How do I hang a stained glass suncatcher?
Most of my suncatchers come ready to hang with a small metal ring or hook. For the best display, hang your piece in or near a sunny window using a sturdy s adhesive hook, or other appropriate hanging hardware. Please make sure the hardware is rated for the weight of your piece. Suction cups are not recommended.
03
Can stained glass go outside?
Stained glass is best enjoyed indoors or in a protected outdoor space. While the glass itself can withstand the elements, prolonged exposure to rain, humidity, extreme temperatures, and harsh weather can affect the metal, solder, and patina over time. For the longest life, I recommend displaying your piece indoors or somewhere protected from direct weather exposure.
04
How do I clean stained glass?
Gently dust your piece with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. If it needs a deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp, soft cloth and gently wipe the glass. Avoid soaking the piece or using windex, abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the solder, patina, or finish. Always dry your piece thoroughly afterward. To add shine to the solder lines, use plain lemon pledge!
05
Are your pieces one of a kind?
Many of my pieces are completely one of a kind, especially my original designs and handmade creations. Because each piece is cut, soldered, and finished by hand, there may also be slight variations between pieces made from the same design. Those little differences are part of what makes handmade stained glass special!
06
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes! I love creating custom stained glass pieces. Whether you have a specific idea, a meaningful symbol, a favorite creature, or something completely unusual in mind, I'd love to hear about it. Custom projects are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the design, size, materials, and my current schedule.
07
How long do custom pieces take?
Custom pieces typically take 4–8 weeks from design approval to completion, depending on the size and complexity of the project and my current workload. Larger or especially detailed pieces may take longer. I'll provide an estimated timeline when we discuss your project and keep you updated along the way.
08
Do you ship?
Yes! I carefully package my stained glass pieces for shipping using protective materials designed to help keep your artwork safe during its journey. Shipping options and costs are calculated at checkout.
09
Do you offer local pickup in Raleigh?
Yes! Local pickup is available in the Raleigh, NC area. If you'd prefer to pick up your piece rather than have it shipped, please select the local pickup option at checkout when available. Pickup details and instructions will be provided after your order is placed.
10
What happens if my piece arrives damaged?
I'm committed to making sure your piece arrives safely. If your stained glass arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and send photos of the damaged piece, packaging, and shipping box. I'll work with you to determine the best solution, which may include a repair or replacement depending on the circumstances.
Please don't throw away the original packaging until we've resolved the issue, as photos of the packaging may be needed for a shipping claim.
11
Can I request a sold-out design?
Yes! On every sold out product page you will see a "notify when available" button. That will add you to an email list that will automatically send you a notification that the item is back in stock. These notifications will go out 24 hours before it is posted on social media so that those on the list have a chance to buy it first!
